Contact with bacteria, viruses and parasites through unclean water and soil can result in diarrhoea. Every day more than 5000 children die because of diarrhoea. Access to clean water and good sanitary conditions is not only good hygiene; it is also a human right.
Yme is a Norwegian humanitarian organization which specializes in working with water, sanitation and vocational education.
Yme uses water projects to promote change in local societies and believes that access to clean water and proper sanitary conditions is critical in order for people to contribute in changing their own conditions.
